Simone Edwards
Chief Financial/Operating Officer and Executive Vice President
Simone Edwards joined the Chicago Architecture Center (CAC) in 2023. With more than 30 years' experience, she plays a pivotal role in strategic decision-making, overseeing and working to enhance the organization's financial management, operations, IT, human resources, retail, tourism and sales.
Simone’s impressive career encompasses financial accounting and business management, including executive-level oversight in areas such as information technology, human resources, financial controls and accounting. She has held diverse roles, including CFO and VP of Operations, Director of Operations and Finance for a technology transfer office, and Corporate Controller for an international investment company.
Simone is deeply committed to servant leadership and mentorship. She actively contributes to her community by serving as an adjunct professor at Chicago City Colleges, teaching Computer Information Systems and Finance. Additionally, Simone holds the position of Board Chair at Rebels for Peace, the Board Chair at Near North 3.6.5, and actively participates in the Ingleside Block Club. She received her Bachelor's in Accounting with honors from DePaul University and holds a Master of Science in Information Systems from Northwestern University.
