HIGHRISES: A BOOK TALK AND CELEBRATION

The photographer and author of Highrises: Art Deco, the book that inspired CAC's most recent exhibition, will present a book talk at the Center followed by a book signing and reception. The exhibition and book both present a collection of Chris Hytha's unique close-up photographs of the tops of Art Deco towers in Chicago and across the country. Each large format image shows off architectural details you can't see from the sidewalk, and is accompanied by entertaining histories and insights about the building, written by historian Mark Houser.
