Kate Van Zeyl

Board of Trustees, Learning Committee Chair

Kate Van Zeyl is Vice President and General Manager for Turner Construction Company in Chicago, leading a team of over 200 employees and managing $700 million in annual revenue. She establishes the office's long-term vision and ensures the successful delivery of major projects, such as the Willis Tower Repositioning, O'Hare 21, and the Obama Presidential Center. Kate's leadership in business strategy and operations has been pivotal in Turner Chicago's largest pursuits.

Kate joined Turner in 2008 as a Project Manager after practicing architecture in New Orleans, Ft. Lauderdale, and Chicago. With a Master of Architecture from Tulane University and being a licensed architect, she has advanced through various operational roles, providing project management and leadership throughout all project phases. In 2016, she became Business Development Manager, driving the growth of the Chicago Business Unit, and was promoted to her current role in 2019. Kate resides in Oak Park with her husband and two daughters.
