Aqua Tower reads like a site-specific sculpture with its curving white balconies reminiscent of Lake Michigan’s waves and beaches. More than an aesthetic, its form fits a function of being responsive and interconnected with its environment. I clearly remember thinking, “That’s something different,” as it was being constructed and then made its mark on the city’s skyline.
