Join us for an educator-focused look at Flyway City: Architecture for a Flourishing Ecosystem. This two-hour, drop-in program explores the relationship between the built environment and the natural world, with ideas to bring back to the classroom.
Educator Open Session: Flyway City
Flyway City, designed and co-curated with Chicago-based Studio Gang, showcases design initiatives to solve a significant built environment problem: more than one billion birds are lost to building collisions each year. Discover how design helps solve this problem to bring a more harmonious connection between nature and our skyscrapers.
The CAC will offer free access to the Flyway City exhibition, classroom resources to bring both Flyway City and classic CAC material into the classroom, opportunities to take a mini field trip, and more! Light refreshments will be provided.
The content of the exhibition is geared toward older students and adults. CAC classroom learning materials have been created for students in grades 3-12.
This event is free for educators.
When registering to reserve your spot, please use your school information so we can better understand and support our educator community.
